Please read all information carefully; there’s important stuff in here!
This workshop will take place on Zoom on Saturday, April 11 at 11 am Pacific, and will take about 2 hours.
Please sign up by March 26 to allow time for kit assembly and shipping.
Step into broom craft with a workshop designed for beginners and curious hands. Together, we’ll trace the roots of broom-making through history and folklore before turning toward the work of shaping a broom of your own.
You’ll choose between crafting a Turkey Wing or Hawk Tail whisk, and select natural or black broomcorn to suit your style. This class offers a relaxed, supportive introduction to the techniques and rhythms of broom-making.
By the end of the session, you’ll have a sturdy, beautiful whisk — and the quiet satisfaction that comes from making something useful by hand.
The kit includes:
- Natural or black broomcorn
- Twine of your choosing
- Prep Card
Other items you may need which are not included:
- a sharp knife
- a pair of scissors
- a lighter
- a dowel to use as a foot brake (explained later)
- a hand clamp (optional, but handy for taking breaks)
You will be prompted to select your twine & broomcorn color after you click “purchase”
For international orders, choose the “Local Pickup” option and include your address and phone number in the notes. In order to give you the fairest rates, we will bill you separately for S&H! Please contact us prior to purchasing for any shipping questions.
Cost includes the custom kit, admission to the Zoom class, and a recorded demo.
An email will be automatically sent to you when you order, detailing how to log in and other tips to prepare for class in advance. Make sure to keep an eye on your Spam or Junk folders to make sure you don’t miss the prep email.
You must be signed up to receive email updates in order to receive the prep email. Without the prep email, you won’t have access to the class.
