REGISTER BY MARCH 1 to receive your workshop kit in time.

This workshop will take place on Zoom on Sunday, March 15 at 12 pm Pacific.

Join me for a Spring Equinox Wheel of the Year workshop where you’ll make a Flower Petal Mini Sweeper—small in scale, rich in detail, and designed to be both useful and beautiful.

This broom carries the familiar silhouette of a classic sweeper, softened by a body of hand-dyed green broomcorn and scattered with lavender and pink petals stitched over the crown, as though the broom itself has begun to bloom. A woven cap of brown stalks and a kiln-dried PNW hardwood handle ground the piece, balancing its playful details with strength and intention.

This live virtual workshop is ideal for makers who enjoy learning decorative techniques that enhance whimsy without sacrificing durability. Rooted in the symbolism of the Spring Equinox, this broom is designed to help clear space, welcome new energy, and gently usher in the growing season.

Your kit will include:

- natural & hand-dyed broomcorn
- hand-dyed stalks
- a kiln-dried PNW hardwood handle
- twine
- a stitching clamp
- a stitching needle

Other tools you will need:
-
a drill
- a lighter
- a dowel to use as your foot brake
- a sharp knife
- sharp scissors
- a hand towel
- a container for soaking the top 8” of your broomcorn
-a hand clamp (optional, but helpful for breaks)

For international orders, choose the “Local Pickup” option and include your address and phone number in the notes. In order to give you the fairest rates, we will bill you separately for S&H! Please contact us prior to purchasing for any shipping questions.

Cost includes the custom kit, admission to the Zoom class, there is NO demo video, as I have not previously taught this design.

An email will be automatically sent to you when you order, detailing how to log in and other tips to prepare for class in advance. Make sure to keep an eye on your Spam or Junk folders to make sure you don’t miss the prep email.

You must be signed up to receive email updates in order to receive the prep email. Without the prep email, you won’t have access to the class.
