February 14: Valentine's Broom Bundle

from $265.00

Please read all information carefully; there’s important stuff in here!

These workshops will take place via Zoom on Saturday, February 14 at 10 am & 3 pm Pacific.

Please sign up by January 29 to allow time for kit assembly and shipping.

This Valentine’s season, trade crowded restaurants and predictable gifts for something far more memorable: a shared moment of making. The Valentine’s Broom Bundle brings together two companion projects — the woven whisk and the Appalachian Cobwebber — each rooted in heritage craft and shaped by hand with care.

You’ll learn the gentle architecture of woven stalks as you create your whisk with your choice of natural or our curated Valentine’s blend of broomcorn, then shift into the airy, untrimmed sweep of a traditional cobwebber. Side by side, these brooms form a keepsake pair that feels both deeply useful and quietly symbolic: one grounded and intimate, the other reaching outward into overlooked corners.

Choose the Buddy Bundle to craft alongside a partner or a beloved friend — a thoughtful, joy-filled way to celebrate connection through shared artistry.

The kit includes:
- Natural or Curated Broomcorn
- Natural Craft Broomcorn
- Broomcorn Stalks
- Twine
- Natural broom handle (kiln-dried, ethically sourced PNW hardwood )
- A stitching needle

Other items you will need to gather ahead of time:
- A sharp knife
- Scissors
- A lighter
- A hand towel
- A straight wooden dowel, roughly hip-width and about 2” in diameter
- A lidded container to soak your stalks in
- A tall vase or jar to soak the ends of your broomcorn
- A hand clamp (optional)
- A gardening glove for your dominant hand (optional)

*Note: You will be prompted to choose your twine color for natural broomcorn orders when you check out. You may include other colors in the notes.

An email will be automatically sent to you when you order, detailing how to log in and other tips to prepare for class in advance. Make sure to keep an eye on your Spam or Junk folders to make sure you don’t miss the prep email.
