*Oops, no photos because we haven’t dyed the broomcorn yet!
Please read all information carefully; there’s important stuff in here!
This workshop will take place via Zoom on Friday, December 19 at 12pm Pacific, and will take about 3 hours.
Please sign up by December 4 to allow time for kit assembly and shipping.
Join me for a Winter Solstice-inspired Cobwebber workshop, featuring hand dip-dyed broomcorn that fades from a deep celestial blue into its natural golden stalks. Each kit includes carefully curated twine to complement the tones of the dyed broomcorn, along with all the materials you’ll need for this project.
The Cobwebber’s long, untrimmed bristles are perfect for sweeping away cobwebs and dusting hard-to-reach corners, and its delicate, feathery shape gives it an almost ethereal presence. As we broom together, we’ll honor this simple and elegant tool as both a practical household companion and a quiet emblem of renewal at the turning of the year. Brooms also make truly heartfelt unique gifts!
The kit includes:
- Dip-Dyed Craft Broomcorn
- Twine
- Natural broom handle (kiln-dried, ethically sourced PNW hardwood )
- A stitching needle
Other items you will need to gather ahead of time:
- A sharp knife
- Scissors
- A lighter
- A straight wooden dowel, roughly hip-width and about 2” in diameter
- A tall vase or jar to soak the ends of your broomcorn
For international orders, choose the “Local Pickup” option and include your address and phone number in the notes. In order to give you the fairest rates, we will bill you separately for S&H! Please contact us prior to purchasing for any shipping questions.
Cost includes the custom kit, admission to the Zoom class, and a recorded demo.
An email will be automatically sent to you when you order, detailing how to log in and other tips to prepare for class in advance. Make sure to keep an eye on your Spam or Junk folders to make sure you don’t miss the prep email.
You must be signed up to receive email updates in order to receive the prep email. Without the prep email, you won’t have access to the class.
