Virtual Workshop - July 6 - Braided Rooster Tails
This class is intended for broom makers and those with at least intermediate broom-making ability.
This class takes place over Zoom at 10am pm PST on Saturday July 6 and will take about two-three hours. Kits are now available with multiple broom’s worth of materials!
We will be making Braided Rooster Tails! This class will demonstrate the method for creating the “braided” effect of the broomcorn, but will not cover the ornamental additions up the handle.
The kit includes:
- Broomcorn (natural, black, or half and half)
- Twine of your choosing
Other items you may need which are not included:
- a sharp knife
- a pair of scissors
- a lighter
- a hand towel for your lap
- a dowel to use as a foot brake (explained later)
- a way to soak your broomcorn (about 10” deep)
Cost includes the custom kit and admission to the Live Zoom class as well as a recorded demo video.
Kits for Live workshops are shipped the week prior to the workshop date.
Example: If you make your purchase in November for a workshop that takes place in March, your kit will not ship until March, etc.
