Virtual Workshop - April 20 - Woven Whisks
Please read all information thoroughly.
Now with the option to build your kit with multiple broom’s worth of materials!
This class takes place on Zoom at 10:00am PST on Saturday April 20 and will take about two hours. We will be making either a hawk tail or turkey wing style whisk (your choice, I can demonstrate both methods in class) with a woven, or “plaited” grip. ** stalks will need to be soaked in water for 2+ hours prior to the start of class for weaving **
The kit includes:
- Broomcorn (natural, black, or mixed)
- twine of your choosing
- broomcorn stalks for weaving (natural color only)
* for multiple brooms with different colors, please type your selections in the “notes” at checkout.
Other items you may need which are not included:
- a sharp knife
- a pair of scissors
- a lighter
- a short dowel to use as a foot brake (explained later)
- a lidded container for soaking your stalks
- a hand towel
- a rubber band
For international orders, please purchase at least 4 weeks prior to the class date. Please take into account the time difference for your country. All workshops are scheduled on Pacific Time.
Kits for Live workshops are shipped the week prior to the workshop date.
Example: If you make your purchase in November for a workshop that takes place in March, your kit will not ship until March, etc.
Cost includes the custom kit, admission to the Zoom class, and a recorded demo.
An email will be sent to you immediately after purchase to detailing how to log in and other tips to prepare for class in advance. PLEASE KEEP THIS EMAIL. If you think you didn’t receive it, please check your spam, junk, and “promotions” email folders
